What’s this?!

In making my new site, I happened upon a site called:

In Hebrew, “Ma Kore” is “מה קורא” and basically means “How do you say…?” But here’s the funny thing: “kore” (これ) is “this” in Japanese! So, last night, when I saw “Ma Kore”, what came to mind immediately was:

מה これ?
What is this?

So, I mixed up the two languages! I laughed at myself for doing it. Hehe.

Edit (13th Feb, 2012):

One of my dear Israeli friends corrected me. It’s actually מה קורה, which means ‘what’s happening?’ or ‘what’s up?’. That’s why I don’t like transliterations; they confuse me! Hehe. That was embarrassing!

Lol! I was browsing Chrome’s Web Store when I happened across the same site. I thought it meant “very good” because the other language sites in that series all translated to that. Good to know! 🙂

    P.S.
Good job with the website – simple and non-intimidating was definitely the way to go. 😀
